Oh, how I wish,
How I wish I were a fish.
Bliss awaits me in the sea.
I sit at the desk twiddling my thumbs,
I stare out the window,
The day looks so glumb.
But then I see a twinkle in the sky,
Oh, how I wish,
How I wish I could fly!
Oh, how I wish,
How I wish I were a bird.
Flapping around and dropping turds.
Taking the train,
Its such a drag.
If only I had a tail to wag!
Oh, how I wish,
How I wish I were a dog.
Snapping fish and running on logs.
But,
Oh,
No longer do I wish to be a fish.
Being eaten by dogs who run on logs.
If I were a fish down in the sea,
I might end up on a dish (no life for me)
In a lovely house,
Where, lived a pet mouse,
And a lucky pet fish,
Who, unlike I
Was not being served
Instead of pie.
Oh, but wait.
Now I see!
To be a fish in a bowl is the life for me.
Oh, how I wish,
How I wish I were a fish,
A fish in a bowl.
They couldn't touch me with a 5 foot pole.
